Kambamba Jasper

Kambaba Jasper is a green, rhyolitic (volcanic) stone found in Madagascar. It's also known as Kambaba Stone or Green Stromatolite Jasper. 

Kambaba Jasper is 3 billion years old and is made up of: 

Microcrystalline Quartz

Stromatolites, which are ancient fossilized colonies created by cyanobacteria (blue-green algae) and other primeval microorganisms

Kambaba Jasper is not a true jasper. It's also not a stromatolite, which is fossilized blue-green algae in a sedimentary rock. 

Kambaba Jasper is found in the west-central Bongolava region of Madagascar. It's full of blackish, irregularly shaped orbs that cause it to closely resemble some types of stromatolite fossils.
